Although the costume parties are always a fabulous for the New Year it is a bit different from Halloween. On Halloween, almost anything goes, the party is appointed to be the most bloody, scary, sexy or controversial as you want to be. New Year’s Eve, however, requires a little thought into the decision region of disguises. The call for holding a new year and the end of last is traditions that people every culture and every country in the world can relate to, but not a time for painful reminders, suits or offensive it can be considered unlucky.

Here are 10 outfits that should not be taken to the clothing of the Lunar New Year Eve. Number 1, Jet Black; while most people agree that it is a tradition of bringing all that it symbolizes bad luck is not a good idea to celebrate the birth of a new year. The second costume on the list is a Scarecrow. Some cultures believe that a scarecrow is a representation of evil, something that happens to you or your loved ones during the previous year. In countries like Ecuador, a scarecrow is triggered at midnight on New Year’s Eve to represent the destruction of bad memories.

The last and final costume would be Dead Celebrities. While it is appropriate to wear a Marilyn Monroe and other celebrities who celebrates is past, there is no need to dress like everyone is celebrating, or athletes who have died this year. New Years is a fun field entertaining event, you defiantly want to choose the right attire for the night.

Holiday Costumes after Christmas

Santa suits can be used at any time of year, but by far the best time to use is when Santa Claus is scheduled to come out of hiding and give a little Christmas cheer for December! What kind of Santa Claus suit to wear? Depends on how much money you have, or if you want to pass one. There are costumes available to meet a range of budgets. However, beware of buying a dress that looks too cheap.

If the costume is very cheap so they can be made of cheap materials that tend to separate easily from the charge and stick to the clothes you wear under your dress. So do not go to a costume that seems too cheap. You can place an order to expect any acceptable, and then also keep in mind that the costume may be suitable for disposable due to materials and manufacturing processes used.

Dress for a Santa costume well, you want to spend a little more, and the extra money it receives a team built with better quality and more comfortable materials. You are also more likely to have a suit that can be reused and a combination that can be washed by hand or machine, or dry cleaned. Remember to shop for accessories too Santa. You probably want to buy and use a fluffy white beard and perhaps a fluffy white wig if you do not come with the game by default, some types of filling for a Santa belly, maybe a few shows, and possibly a bag for all wonderful gifts you give to your friends and family.

Top Dress up Fancy Dress Costume Ideas for Adults – Costume Hits IV Alice in Wonderland Costumes

Filed under: Buy Adult Fancy Dress Costumes, Party Costume — cu2nite @ 2:48 PM

alice-in-wonderland

An Alice in Wonderland themed costume party is a great idea for a birthday party, Halloween, or regular party. Both adults and children can enjoy going through the looking glass into this Wonderland celebration. There are many colorful characters to choose from, and costumes are commonly sold. If you want to dress up as Alice, making the right “Alice in Wonderland” party dress is the most important part. If you are a seamstress, you can make the dress yourself, or you can alter a dress or skirt to look similar. Once you recreate your “Alice in Wonderland” costume, it is simple to finish off the outfit with the right accessories.

Follow these steps to head down the rabbit hole to the best bash you’ve ever thrown:

  • An outdoor garden location is ideal for an Alice in Wonderland costume party. For a children’s party, the afternoon is best. For an adult party, have it outside at night and decorate with multi-colored lights to bring out the dark, weird side of Wonderland.
  • Write up a budget and guest list. Think about the number of guests when planning the food, drinks and activities.
  • Create and send Alice in Wonderland themed invitations. Send the invites at least 2 weeks in advance. However, if you send them a month in advance, you will have greater response and the guests will have more time to get costumes.
  • Begin a list of everything you need to purchase or gather for the Alice in Wonderland party so that you have everything ready for the event. Don’t forget to rent, buy or make your costume.

A cool homemade “Alice in Wonderland” party

homemade-alice-in-wonderland-costume

“Our group decided to go as the Alice in Wonderland party. We had The Cheshire Cat, The Queen of Hearts, The Mad Hatter (Tim Burton’s version), Alice, The Tea Party Rabbit and, of course, our Late White Rabbit (who is really late, by this we mean pregnant). Our Homemade Alice in Wonderland Group Costume was made by The Queen of Hearts. She put the most time and effort into the project, while The Mad Hatter helped with his costume. The Queen’s costume was all handmade from pieces of material that were sown together and some 16- gauge electric fence wire was used to make the bottom springy. On the back of her there was a smile of the Cheshire Cat.The Cheshire Cat was also, from head to toe, made from spare material. The Mad Hatter’s costume took, perhaps, the longest. The Hat was 100% constructed using cardboard, poster board, material, feather duster feathers, knitting needles and some 16-gauge electric fence wire. The suit was an old green suit that we spray-painted lightly with purple spray paint. The belt across the chest was just spools of thread woven with yarn on an old belt. Alice’s costume was an old blue dress with a white apron sown on top. The Tea Party Rabbit used a few colorful shirts and handmade ears that the Queen of Hearts constructed. The White Rabbit had a lady’s red overcoat. We took a foam circular ball, glued cotton balls onto it and then pinned it to the back for a tail. We also found an old clock and tied it to yarn to hang from her neck (so she wouldn’t have to hold it all night). All in all, we had the time of our lives and everyone loved our costumes. “

First Look! Lady Gaga’s Armani and Prada tour costumes!

Lady Gaga has enlisted the help of two of the biggest names in fashion, Armani and Prada, to design typically show-stopping creations for the next leg of her Monster Ball tour.

gaga-armani-prada-tour-costumes-2

Having first collaborated with Giorgio Armani on a number of crowd-wowing outfits at this year’s Grammy Awards, Gaga has tapped the Italian designer to create four equally-amazing looks for her overseas tour dates. Two exclusive sketches of the custom-made creations have just been released, depicting a blue bold-shouldered leotard – not dissimilar to the one she wore on-stage at the Grammys – and a sparkling body suit with an exaggerated lobster-effect sleeve.

Naturally, it wouldn’t be a Gaga show without more than a couple of costume changes, so the Lady also enlisted the help of Prada to create another scene-stealer of a frock. The songstress appears on stage in a grand one-of-a-kind gown, which combines antique and modern elements – being based on a classic 18th century silhouette, but made out of plastic.

What do you think of Lady Gaga’s new designer costumes? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below!

Dress Up as Whiplash or Black Widow for Halloween!

black-widow-halloween-costume

We’re still 6 months away from Halloween, but even so I think it’s fair to say that folks will be looking to dress up as their favorite Iron Man 2 character once the time comes. Hell, the characters of Whiplash and Black Widow are both ripe for exploring in all sorts of freak-ish ways. While your 10-year-old nephew will totally fight you to the death for a chance to wear that War Machine costume, something tells me the male adults in the audience will immediately try to coerce their significant other into showing off that sexy, fake leather-ific Black Widow outfit (the Ironette one is kinda lame, though).

The more macho guys in the audience might want to check out the pretty slick Whiplash costume, which at first glance doesn’t seem to include weird black-gray rocker hair and sun-sprayed rock-hard abs (I believe those are sold separately). He does lose points for those silly plastic strings as far as weapons go. Yeah, in the movie they’re all electric lightning-like and creepy, but in costume form they’re pretty ridiculous. According to the site, the costumes will be able to be pre-ordered soon. In the meantime … stop staring at that Black Widow costume model!

So who’s buying one?

6 Ideas for Group Party Costumes

batman-characters-costume

Is your sorority, group of friends throwing a costume party bash? Wearing matching costumes will help you keep up with each other and let your guests know who’s in charge should they need something. Here are some ideas you can use.

Group Halloween costume 1. Boy Band: Whether you want to be the Backstreet Boys, Boys II Men, The Monkees, New Edition, New Kids on the Block, or NSYNC, all your really need to make this costume work are matching shirts and goofy hairstyles.

Group Halloween costume 2. Dancers: If you want to be a group of dancers, your first choice is to figure out what kind of dancer you want to be. You can be belly dancers, ballerinas, tap dancers, jazz dancers, Irish folk dancers or flash dancers. You can get matching costumes from your local dance or costume shop.

Group Halloween costume 3. Cheerleaders: Your only must-have for this group costume is pom poms. The rest of the costume can be as simple as white t-shirts and short denim jeans. If you want to get fancy, however, you can go as far as to purchase real cheerleader uniforms for around $50 each. Matching sweats will work well, too.

college-pinup-group-costume-show

Group Halloween costume 4. Sports team: Do you and your friends have a favorite sports team? If so, many of you may have jerseys for that team. Add the appropriate sports equipment, which most of you will probably also own, and you have a complete team. If you and your friend route for opposing teams, another option is for each person to be their own favorite player. Your options are numerous from golf to basketball to hockey.

Group Halloween costume 5. Bowling pins and ball: A fun costume for a group might be bowling pins and a ball. For the pins, you all need white pants and hooded sweatshirts. Put two red stripes around the neck area. The shortest person would probably be the ball (or whoever draws the short stick). For the ball costume, you can cut two large felt circles and attach them at the top (over the shoulders) and the sides (under the arms) ad three smaller circles for the holes. These costumes can also be purchased online in vinyl.

Group Halloween costume 6. Bridesmaids: Pick up matching dresses at a discount department store. You can pick up simple, inexpensive formals and matching shoes. Add cheap bouquets, and you are an instant group of bridesmaids.

Comic-Con International experienced capacity crowds in 2009, with all memberships selling out months before the convention began, leaving a whole lot of people locked out :( Comic-Con 2010 has already seen unprecedented interest. Four-day memberships sold out in November 09. If you just are interested in the event, now’s your chance to see one of the best parts of the con -the costumes of last year Con. There’s always a lot of cross-over costumes at Comic Con and for some reason, they tend to mostly involve Star Wars.
